Supported by the G20 Inter Faith Forum and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), the PROTECTOR project will design, develop and deliver the next generation of integrated measures to enhance the protection of places of worship.

Our Expertise

Combining expertise from law enforcement agencies, leading academic institutions, private sector organisations and engaging with places of worship, the PROTECTOR project will enhance security postures at places of worship to counter the threat from hate crime and terrorism. We are working together to;

Enhancing situational awareness, operational decision-making and investigative capabilities.


Strengthen

 

Strengthening cooperation between public authorities, faith-based leaders and congregations.


Develop

 

 Developing protective security awareness raising campaigns and crisis communication plans.


Advance

 Advancing police, public authority and faith leadership protective security expertise.

 

The PROTECTOR project consortium of 8 partners, representing 7 members states, brings forward a broad European perspective, representing exceptional expertise across government, academia and private industry.

Coordinated by Saher (Europe) OÜ, the PROTECTOR project consortium of partners actively contribute and participate in all areas of research and innovation activities, with clarified roles and responsibilities.
